A little more than three months after Fitlife Foods opened its first store in the Bradenton-Sarasota area on University Parkway, the Tampa-based wellness brand on Monday announced the launch of a subscription delivery service in the two-county region.

Unfamiliar with Fitlife Foods? It is a brand “committed to creating fresh, all-natural meals that are nutritious, delicious and perfectly crafted from scratch.”

“As one of the original and leading meal providers in Florida, we are always looking to go above and beyond for our customers and that’s why we continue to introduce new options such as our subscription delivery service,” David Osterweil, the founder and CEO and Fitlife Foods, said in a news release.

Fitlife Foods offers healthy premade meals — paleo chicken, red quinoa hash, chicken enchiladas and gluten-free chicken pizza supreme are among the options — that can be delivered or picked up at a store. Menu prices range from $4 to $12 and include gluten-free, vegetarian, paleo and low-carb options, with nutrition information printed on the label.

Orders arrive directly to customers’ doorsteps, and meals have a shelf life of five to six days and contain no preservatives or additives.

“So often, we see that customers want to lead a healthier lifestyle and eat better, but schedules get in the way of being able to cook at home,” said Osterweil, who founded in the company in Tampa in 2011. “Instead of defaulting to paying high prices for delivery options with minimal nutritional value or waiting in line for a quick bite, people can have a week’s worth of meals delivered to their homes.”

Fitlife Foods opened its store at 5275 University Parkway in late April. The brand, which provides pre-made breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and desserts, as well as lifestyle coaching, markets itself as a solution to meal prep for busy families and “health-minded singles.”

Meals are delivered to each location from Fitlife’s culinary center in Plant City, and approximately 60 menu items are offered at each store daily.

Lifestyle coaching through Fitlife Foods’ Project U is available with the purchase of meals for no added cost, according to a release from Fitlife Foods.

In addition to home delivery, customers also have the option of picking up meals in-store.
