Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant in Bradenton-Sarasota area has an opening date
The first Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant in Southwest Florida, and 12th overall in Florida, opens 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21.
Piesanos is the latest eatery to open in the Braden River Shopping Center, 14629 State Road 70 E., Lakewood Ranch.
Others include Salad Works, Fruttah Bowls, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Panda Express.
Slim Chickens recently opened just east of the shopping center on the northeast corner of Lorraine Road and State Road 70.
Growth and development in the area, including many new communities on the east side of Lakewood Ranch, as well as Premier Sports Campus, have helped attract the new businesses.
Piesanos is in 3,600 square feet of space on the east end of the shopping center and offers inside and outside seating. The restaurant also has a dedicated takeout entrance.
“Whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a nice dinner to catch up with friends or picking up a meal to-go for the family, Piesanos is your place,” Jerry Roberts, co-owner of Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, said in a press release.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bradenton and the Lakewood Ranch community through our doors,” Roberts said.
Piesanos’ menu includes appetizers, soups and salads, pizzas, calzones, entrees, specialty pizzas, subs and sandwiches, desserts and more.
Signature Piesanos rolls are served complimentary with every dine-in order.

The restaurant offers a selection of 12 draft beers and an assortment of wines available by the glass and the bottle.
Catering services are available for groups ranging from eight to 800 people.
Third-party ordering and delivery are available through Uber and DoorDash.
A group of five restaurant owners in Gainesville opened the first Piesanos in 2009.

Piesanos is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
