Southern-style chicken restaurant has plans to expand in Manatee County, records say
A fast-casual restaurant chain with Southern roots is planned for the Creekside Commons shopping center in Parrish.
According to Manatee County building records, a nearly 3,000-square-foot Chicken Salad Chick restaurant is coming to 8730 U.S. 301 #113. The restaurant chain specializes in various chicken salads using Southern-styled chicken made from scratch daily.
A completion or opening date has not been publicly announced..
Stacy and Kevin Brown founded Chicken Salad Chick in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama, according to company history. The chain dots the Southeast and stretches as far west as Colorado and New Mexico.
There’s one Chicken Salad in Manatee County, according to the company’s website. That store is at 5434 Lockwood Ridge Road off State Road 70 in Bradenton. The chain previously had a location in the Shoppes of Paradise Bay plaza at the corner of Cortez Road and 75th Street West.
The Chicken Salad Chick menu features 12 different types of chicken salads, egg salad, sandwiches, soups and side dishes.
Creekside Commons is a new shopping and dining plaza by Benderson Development. Lowe’s, a home improvement store, anchors the plaza that has several new businesses that were recently announced. The others include Five Guys, Panera Bread, First Watch, Ono Poke and Good Liquid Brewing Co.
