What sold for $50 million in Manatee County this week?

An apartment complex in Bradenton recently fetched a price tag of $50,500,000.

Two Bradenton LLCs, whose title manager is local property management firm Continental Properties Company Inc., purchased Lost Creek at Lakewood Ranch on May 31, according to Manatee County property records.

The mid-to-luxury class rental complex, which is located at 11140 Lost Creek Terrace, has 264 units and nearly 24 acres. Sales listings on apartments.com show that the complex offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with rent ranging from a little more than $1,150 to around $1,600.

According to the listings, the smallest apartment offered is 877 square feet, with the largest at 1,374 square feet.

Records indicate that the seller of the property, Bradenton Multifamily DST, purchased it in 2012 for $39,250,700.

Other sizable real estate transactions in Manatee County:

▪ Town Center Parkway, a two-story 100,000-square-foot office building that was built in 1998, according to loopnet.com. County records show that it was sold for $22,100,000 to TDC 9000 Town Center Inc.

▪ Avalon Square Apartment Homes, at 3506 14th St. W., sold to a holding company for $11,988,000. The property sits on roughly 10 acres and consists of 154 rental units, with montly rent averaging between $800 and $1,200, listings show.
