MANATEE -- The man deputies say robbed a C1 Bank in Northwest Bradenton this week turned himself in Thursday at the Manatee County jail, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Chad Edward Reed, 26, is facing charges of robbery and failure to make child support payments.

Detectives obtained a warrant Wednesday charging Reed after releasing a photo of the suspect from the bank surveillance system.

Reed is being held on bonds totaling $25,470.

At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, detectives say Reed walked into the bank, demanded money and the teller complied. He left on foot heading east on Manatee Avenue West, according to a sheriff's office incident report.

No weapon was reported.

Reed's criminal history includes prior arrests for possession of marijuana, violation of probation, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.
