These 13 new stores, restaurants are set to open at Waterside Lakewood Ranch in 2023
Lakewood Ranch’s Waterside Place is adding several new stores and restaurants for 2023.
The 36-acre area — wedged on a peninsula overlooking Kingfisher Lake in North Sarasota County — is home to 112,000 square feet of commercial, retail and office space; dining options; an 8 acre park; nature trails; “pop-up” spaces and more.
On Wednesday, a New England-based retail store was announced as a new tenant for Waterside Place. The Black Dog General Store, which sells resort wear, T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, hoodies and shorts.
It was started in Martha’s Vineyard, an island in Massachusetts, and its other Florida location is on St. Armand’s Circle in Sarasota.
Other businesses with planned openings through May are:
- yoga studio SHACK
- Capstan Financial
- Marmalade, a home decor, apparel and gift store
- Modish Salon
- Good Liquid Distilling Co.
- Osteria 500, an Italian restaurant
- Shore Rejuvenation, a spa.
According to a news release, stores expected to open later in 2023 include
- Agave Bandido, a Mexican-American restaurant and tequileria
- Deep Lagoon, a seafood & oyster house
- Duck Donuts
- Platinum Palm Properties
- Cileone Jewelers
- Williams Parker Law.
The most recently opened businesses include:
- Man Cave for Men, a luxury modern barber shop
- Monkee’s, an upscale women’s boutique
- Florida Provisions Co., a retail and bar concept
- Forked, a breakfast, lunch, brunch and cocktails restaurant
- John Cannon Model Experience Center
- M/I Homes Design, M/I Homes Financial and M/I Homes Title Agency.
