When will Bradenton pick up trash, recycling and yard waste? Here’s the new schedule

Trash pickup within Bradenton’s city limits will continue on an alternate schedule through the month of November, city leaders announced Wednesday.

Public Works first implemented the changes earlier this year due to a nationwide truck driver shortage. Recruitment efforts are ongoing, and the Bradenton City Council recently approved an incentive program to attract employees, but the alternate schedule will continue for several more weeks.

Regular garbage collection remains the city’s top priority, but yard waste and recycling will continue to only be picked up once every other week.

Recycling schedule for Bradenton

Residents are asked to place their yard waste or recycling bins along the street during their usual pickup day of that designated week.

The collection schedule is:

  • Nov. 1-5: Recycling
  • Nov. 8-12: Yard waste
  • Nov. 15-19: Recycling
  • Nov. 22-26: Yard waste

Yard waste drop-offs

In addition to this schedule, city staff have made four large containers available at sites throughout Bradenton to serve as yard waste drop-off sites. Yard waste containers are available at the following locations:

  • Cordova Lakes, 38th Avenue West and 61st Street West
  • Wares Creek, in the 17th Avenue West Park parking lot
  • Braden River Lakes/River Isles, at the east end of Oakleaf Boulevard
  • 13th Avenue Dream Center, 922 24th Street East, at the southern end of the parking lot
