Restaurants dinged for food, water temperature issues
Food inspectors had critical comments for two Manatee County restaurants last week. One repeated an offense from last week and the other is working to resolve the issue with professional assistance.
- Food inspectors discovered that the men’s and women’s bathroom sinks at Rocio’s Catering, 3700 26th St. W., Bradenton, weren’t capable of reaching the required 100 degrees Fahrenheit when running hot water. The restaurant ordered a water heater but has had difficulty installing it and will seek assistance from a professional electrician.
- Panda Buffet, 3901 Manatee Ave., Bradenton, was dinged last week for holding food at a higher temperature than recommended. The issue returned this week as food inspectors observed two cartons of eggs held at room temperature on the cook line. The ambient air temperature around the eggs was 85-86 degrees Fahrenheit.
