Taco Bell may come to East Manatee County
A Taco Bell could be headed for East Manatee County, according to an application submitted to Manatee County by a Pensacola-based company.
Earlier this month, Lakeview Associated Enterprises Phase 1 submitted a land development application to build a 2,500 square-foot Taco Bell restaurant with 30 parking spaces and a drive-thru at the corner of Heritage Green Way and State Road 64.
The development, if passed and permitted, will take place on a roughly 5-acre parcel sold to Lakeview Associated in May for $2 million by Sarasota-based Brownstar Properties LLC.
The East Manatee Taco Bell would add to a bevy of Taco Bell locations in the Bradenton-Sarasota area. Beyond a RaceTrac gas station on the southwest corner of Lena Road and State Road 64, the area around the intersection contains little commercial development. Heritage Green Way turns into Lena Road beyond State Road 64.
Another fast food restaurant is in the works east of Oneco at State Road 70 and Lockwood Ridge Road. Indiana-based Bravotampa LLC filed plans with Manatee County in August to build a 3,800 square-foot Burger King at 4536 53rd Ave. E. If all plans and permits are approved, it would be the fifth Burger King in Manatee County.
