Local business owner appointed to SCF's Board of Trustees
A local business owner has been appointed to a collegiate board.
Governor Rick Scott announced Tuesday evening that John Horne, owner of Anna Maria Oyster Bar, will join the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees.
The 56-year-old winner of numerous business and leadership awards will succeed Marlen Hager, and his term will run from Tuesday to May 31, 2021.
Scott's decision is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
