Good Liquid Brewing’s return to Bradenton has a new feature. Here’s a look inside

Good Liquid Brewing Co. recently opened its doors, returning to Bradenton for the first time since 2022.

And there’s a unique addition to the company’s latest Manatee County location at 1008 4th Ave. W. It’s a beer wall with a twist: a few wines and cocktails accompany roughly 16 beers.

Beer walls are a self-serve concept.

“With the cocktails, they are mixed to where you’re not going to get blasted off it,” said Michael Scott, Good Liquid Bradenton’s general manager. “They’re 5% alcohol by volume, so they’ve got a great flavor to it. There’s Prosecco, our house wines, our house-made beers and those beers will rotate as well.”

The beer wall is next to the outside bar, surrounded by barrels customized as table tops. Out front, a couple of tables also sit near a colorful mural in front of Good Liquid’s downtown Bradenton restaurant.

Good Liquid is more than a brewery and distillery. There are also various food options with over 100 seats inside and about 100 outside patio seats at the restaurant.

“You can hang out here if you want or you can make it kind of a little more formal if you want to sit down and have a server,” said Brian Griffin, Good Liquid’s director of operations.

Food from scratch

Griffin said everything is made in-house and from scratch, including the sauces.

“It’s super fresh. We don’t really even have a walk-in freezer,” Griffin said.

A customer favorite on the menu are the burgers, with four different types to choose from. Another signature item, Griffin said, is the mahi entree with roasted veggies.

And there are two new entrees to hit the menu for the downtown Bradenton location: a short rib and Cajun pasta.

“The short rib’s been braised for four hours using our beer, so it’s got a really distinct flavor,” Griffin said. “I think people love it. It’s super, it’s hearty and it’s priced right, too.”

Griffin said the Cajun pasta, which can have chicken or shrimp added to it, has flown off the shelves since it rolled out.

Good Liquid’s food options include salads, sauces, sandwiches, appetizers, entrees, pizza and dessert. There’s a full bar inside with 24 seats.

Returning to Bradenton

In 2022, Good Liquid Brewing Co. closed its flagship Bradenton location.

But owners Mike and Sandra Krail envisioned coming back.

And in May, they announced a return to Manatee County with restaurants in Parrish and downtown Bradenton.

The former opened in August, while the downtown Bradenton location, in the former SunTrust Center, now called the NDC Center, opened this week.

Good Liquid is also at Lakewood Ranch’s Waterside Place.

Hours of operation

Good Liquid Brewing Co. is open daily and even caters to the downtown Bradenton working crowd with quick options during lunchtime. Griffin said the full menu is still available for those wishing to sit down and take their time.

Good Liquid’s hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
