First Watch is planning another new breakfast restaurant in Manatee County, records say
Roughly six weeks after opening its newest Manatee County restaurant, popular breakfast and lunch chain First Watch aims to add another location in the Bradenton area.
Paperwork was filed with Manatee County Development Services to bring the restaurant chain, which is headquartered in Bradenton, to the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour in the northeast corner of State Road 64 and Interstate 75.
The shopping plaza, which Costco anchors, would mark the seventh Manatee County location for First Watch. Building records said the First Watch will cover about 3,900 square feet at 7105 State Road 64 E., #101, Bradenton.
According to the shopping center’s leasing plan records, there’s dedicated space for a breakfast restaurant pending a signed lease. It would go next to a dentist’s office and an incoming Panda Express restaurant off Lighthouse Drive near Academy Sports + Outdoors, a sporting goods store.
First Watch cooks made-to-order meals with fresh ingredients in a kitchen without heat lamps, microwaves or deep fryers, a company spokesperson said in December when the most recent First Watch in the county opened.
The restaurant also has a seasonal menu that’s updated five times a year.
Other Manatee County locations
Ken Pendery and John Sullivan co-founded First Watch in 1983 in Pacific Grove, California, according to company history. The company relocated to Bradenton a few years later, company history said.
There are more than 570 First Watch restaurants in 30 states, according to the company’s website.
The company has not announced when the new restaurant will open.
