Ready for adventure? Texas sports and outdoors store sets Bradenton grand opening date
A sporting goods and outdoor recreation retailer is opening its first Bradenton store later this month.
Academy Sports + Outdoors announced an opening date of Monday, Nov. 18 for the 63,000-square-foot store at 7125 State Road 64, Bradenton. It’s just east of Interstate 75 and near the Costco at 805 Lighthouse Drive.
“Whether you’re hitting the trails on your favorite mountain bike, casting fishing lines with your crew, or perfecting your baseball swing on the diamond, Academy Sports + Outdoors is your ultimate adventure partner,” the company wrote on the store’s website.
Bradenton customers can expect an assortment of brands such as Nike, adidas, Carhartt, Stanley, Titleist, Shimano, Brooks, YETI and more, according to a news release. The store will also feature line spooling, scope mounting and propane exchange services, according to the Academy website.
Grand opening festivities are planned for Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24. It’s the 18th Florida location for the Texas-based retailer, which also has stores in Pinellas Park and Wesley Chapel.
Academy Sports + Outdoors was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Katy, a suburb of Houston. The company has 294 stores across 19 states.
