Chipotle plans sixth location in Manatee County. Here’s where new restaurant will go
Chipotle Mexican Grill is expanding its footprint in Manatee County with plans for a sixth local restaurant.
The new location is planned for the corner of Manatee Ave. W. and 61st St. W. in Bradenton, according to Manatee County Development Services records.
The plans call for a 2,325-square-foot Chipotle restaurant with 27 parking spaces. A vacant office building currently occupies the property.
The popular fast casual restaurant chain recently filed plans for another new Chipotle restaurant at 3270 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. In November, Chipotle opened its latest Bradenton-area restaurant along Cortez Road.
This planned development is at 411 61st Street W. off Manatee Ave., with construction starting in March 2025 and ending in March 2026, according to records.
The Manatee County Property Appraiser and SunBiz records list 6016 Manatee LLC as the owner, which matches the name on the planned development application.
Chipotle plans new Bradenton restaurant
Chipotle began in 1993 when Steve Ells founded the company, which is headquartered in Newport Beach, California. The first restaurant opened in Denver, Colorado, according to a Rocky Mountain News article.
The fast-casual chain is popular for its build-your-own burritos and burrito bowls and chips and salsa.
