Hayes, Alemais lead rout of Daytona
Ke’Bryan Hayes hit an RBI double in the fourth inning, and Stephen Alemais had four hits and five RBIs as the Bradenton Marauders defeated the Daytona Tortugas 13-6 on Monday.
The double by Hayes, part of a three-run inning, tied the game at 5-5 before Mitchell Tolman hit an RBI single later in the inning.
The Marauders later scored in four additional innings to put the game out of reach, including three runs in the eighth.
Bret Helton (8-1) got the win in relief while Jake Paulson (3-4) took the loss.
James Vasquez homered twice, driving in three runs and scoring a pair for the Tortugas. Reydel Medina tripled and doubled, driving home two runs.
