Marauders upended in bottom of 9th
Mike Gerber had a walk-off double with one out in the ninth inning, and the Lakeland Flying Tigers topped the Bradenton Marauders 5-4 on Tuesday.
Jake Robson scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a single and advanced to second on a single by Sergio Alcantara.
One batter earlier, Alcantara singled, scoring Jose Azocar to tie the game 4-4.
The Marauders took a 4-3 lead in the top of the eighth when Will Craig hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Mitchell Tolman.
Jeff Thompson (3-2) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Daniel Zamora (2-3) took the loss in the Florida State League game.
The two teams wrap up their three-game series on Wednesday in Lakeland.
The loss left the Marauders 2.5 games behind division leader Fort Myers.
