New partnership between USFSM and Stetson provides direct path to law school for USFSM grads
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and Stetson University College of Law announced a joint admissions program on Monday in which qualified USFSM graduates will be directly admitted to Stetson’s College of Law.
“We are thrilled to partner with Stetson College of Law on this opportunity for our students,” interim regional chancellor for USFSM Terry Osborn said in a press release from the university. “Providing pathways for our students to attend law school locally provides expanded access to potentially high-paying and rewarding careers for students throughout our region.”
The program is available to USFSM students who earn a bachelor’s degree and complete 90 hours of coursework with at least 30 at USFSM, achieve at least a 3.3 grade-point average and score in the 50th percentile or above on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
Qualifying students also will receive a scholarship to offset the cost of law classes at Stetson.
