Bradenton woman charged with chucking chicken nuggets at brother
A 20-year-old Bradenton woman who chucked chicken nuggets at her brother after he ate off her plate was arrested and charged with simple battery, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
While her brother and mother were home, Asia Jimenez was feeding her 1-year-old son around 4:12 p.m. Saturday at a house in the 1600 block of 27th Avenue Drive East.
Jimenez’s brother “decided to grab some food from her plate” and chowed down, according to the probable cause affidavit. She didn’t like that, so she threw chicken nuggets at him, telling him to stop. Her brother was “upset” by the flying nuggets, so he punched and threw water on her, according to the affidavit.
The mother was able to break up the siblings but the brother left before deputies arrived. Jimenez’s son was not injured in the incident, according to the affidavit.
The deputy noted there was a “slight red bump” on Jimenez’s face.
Jimenez was arrested Sunday on a simple battery charge but was released Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.
