Police looking for driver in hit-and-run crash

Sarasota police are trying to identify the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on May 7.

Around 4:50 a.m. that Sunday, the driver of a vehicle believed to be a white, late-model GMC Terrain was traveling northbound on South Tamiami Trail. The driver then made a left westbound turn onto Bay Road.

In surveillance video provided by police, the car travels in front of two oncoming southbound cars that have the right of way. One of those cars hits the right side of the suspected Terrain, but the Terrain continues westbound.
