A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in East Manatee on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene of the landing at 5255 Verna Bethany Road around 2 p.m. The plane was not damaged and the pilot and passenger were not injured.

The aircraft is a single-engine Cessna and is registered to L&G Skycatcher, a Bradenton company, according to the FAA registry.
