5 hurt when plane makes emergency landing onto St. Petersburg intersection
A small plane made an apparent emergency landing onto the intersection of 18th Avenue South and 16th Street South in St. Petersburg Wednesday afternoon.
Both of the aircraft’s wings are heavily damaged. According to St. Pete police, the plane struck two vehicles. Five people have been treated for injuries.
None of the injured are in serious condition, but three have been taken to local hospitals.
According to Bay News 9, the plane’s Federal Aviation Administration registry is N900CR. The aircraft is registered to Noble Air Charter, a private air charter service that offers “full business-day and overnight trips to any city in Florida, the Keys or anywhere throughout the Bahamas.”
St. Pete police advise residents to avoid the area.
