Two Bradenton residents killed in Saturday night crash in Pinellas County
Two people from Bradenton were killed when their 1997 Honda Motorcycle collided with a 2015 Volkswagen Golf on Saturday night in Pinellas County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Seminole Boulevard in Largo when the driver of the Volkswagen failed to yield right of way at the intersection of 114th Avenue North.
The left front of the Volkswagen collided with the front of the motorcycle, according to FHP. Both people on the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were transported to Bayfront Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
FHP has not released their names pending next of kin notification. Both were wearing helmets.
The driver of the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries, according to the release. Charges are pending.
