Woman killed in Temple Terrace apartment complex fire

A woman was killed Sunday in an apartment fire in Temple Terrace, officials said.

The fire was reported just before 3 a.m. at the Park at Monument Terrace Apartments at 11115 Normandy Place.

Officials have not released the name of the woman who died.

Twelve units were damaged by the fire, with several units being completely destroyed. Several people were displaced by the fire.

The Temple Terrace Fire Department, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and Tampa Fire Rescue worked for two hours to put out the blaze.

The American Red Cross is also helping families that were displaced.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
