PBS, BBC, WEDU offer great alternatives to cable news
The letter writer who is annoyed by the rabidly opposing political views expressed by the talking heads on two of the prime cable news stations is certainly not alone.
The problem can be solved by simply switching the channel to PBS, BBC and WEDU. Anchors include Judy Woodruff, who conducts calm, intelligent but probing interviews with national and world leaders. Experienced and non-political analysts include David Brooks, Mark Shields, Tamara Keith and Amy Walter. For more local coverage, Rob Lorei is moderator for Florida This Week on Fridays.
Bonus: No annoying car or pharmaceutical adds.
