Democrats should clean up their own house
In a recent letter to the editor, Judith Alpert blamed Trump for a myriad of issues that have existed for years, even decades.
Women are denied abortions... Well, Roe v. Wade has not been repealed and abortion is far and away the leading cause of death in America. Women are denied birth control... Again, birth control products are widely available, even in our high schools. Welfare programs are overwhelmed with people who can’t afford more children... Excuse me, but Trump is not telling financially strapped couples and/or single women to have more babies. Various forms of runoff are making drinking water poisonous... Whose water is poisoned and when did this runoff problem start? I know, Judith. Trump did it, just by snapping his fingers.
She complains that “businesses making profits are considered to be the be-all and end-all for success in the U.S.” No business large or small can survive without making a profit. Not to mention the fact that businesses provide jobs and pay taxes. All this and more is wrapped up in a package that she refers to as Trump’s “America The Great.” Well, Trump hasn’t had a hand in creating any of the real or imagined problems she wrote about.
Even more amazing is Bob Kushner’s recent letter calling for Trump to be impeached. He cites a list of reasons for this, none of which has been proven and probably could never be considered to be impeachable issues. If they were, the Democrats would have already started the impeachment process. Perhaps it’s time for the Dems to look into the money laundering going on within the Clinton Foundation. Why did she receive hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign countries? Why the cover-ups with regard to Benghazi and other issues during her time as Secretary of State? What about her tax returns? If the Dems want to win another election, perhaps they should clean up their own house.
