Stop name-calling, no matter your party affiliation

It seems that Jim Douglass is a great admirer of the current resident of the White House and his policies. That is his right and his opinion should be respected. However, when referring to those of us who are Democrats, he chose to label us as “dumbocrats,” an insulting, childish slur at best, and totally disrespectful of our beliefs.

Really, Mr. Douglass, this type of name calling is better suited to an adolescent than to a grown man. You couldn’t find a more adult way to express your opinions? I suggest next time you’re out anywhere in public you shout out “are there any liberal dumbocrats” within the sound of your voice. You might be surprised at how many people would have a ready answer for you.

In closing, I would like to say that be you Republican, Democrat, or an Independent, it’s about mutual respect for differing opinions, not name calling. Try to remember that.
