Manatee County roads closed due to Hurricane Debby flooding and damage. Here’s a list

More than 40 roads are closed in Manatee County due to Hurricane Debby, which made landfall early Monday morning in Florida’s Big Bend region as a Category 1 storm.

Emergency officials consider a flooded road to be a closed road. Drivers are urged to avoid driving through floodwaters.

Here’s a list of the roads closed as of Monday morning:

Bradenton

  • 19th Avenue West, both directions with flooding
  • 20th Avenue West, both directions with flooding
  • 21st Avenue West, one way with a fallen tree
  • 21st Street East, both directions with flooding
  • 36th Avenue West, both directions with flooding
  • 45th Street East, both directions with flooding
  • 51st Street West, both directions with flooding
  • 63rd Avenue East, both directions with flooding
  • 65th Avenue Circle East, both directions with flooding
  • 9th Avenue West, both directions with flooding
  • 9th Street West, both directions with flooding
  • Creekwood Boulevard East, both directions with flooding
  • El Conquistador Parkway, both directions with flooding
  • Lockwood Ridge Road near Whitfield Avenue, both directions with flooding
  • Riverfront Boulevard, both directions with flooding
  • Riverside Drive East between 6th Street Northeast and Waterfront Drive, both directions with flooding

  • Riverside Drive East between 18th Street Northeast and 21st Street Northeast, Riverside Drive, both directions with flooding
  • Riverview Boulevard, both directions with flooding
  • Virginia Drive, both directions with flooding

Lakewood Ranch

  • Lakewood Ranch Boulevard near Hidden River Trail, both directions with flooding
  • Lincoln Road, both directions with flooding
  • Quonset Road, both directions with flooding
  • Mulberry Avenue between Buttercup Glen and Greyhawk Boulevard, both directions with flooding

  • Pope Road between White Eagle Boulevard and near Bradford Drive, both directions with flooding

  • Upper Manatee River Road between State Road 64 and Port Harbour Parkway, both directions with flooding

  • Upper Manatee River Road between Rye Road/North Rye Road to Upper Manatee River Road Northeast south of Fort Hamer Bridge, both directions with flooding and potential lake flooding

  • Verna Bethany Road over Manatee River, road collapsed

Palmetto

  • 24th Avenue West, both directions with flooding
  • Riverside Drive between 12th Avenue West and 11th Avenue West, both directions with flooding

Parrish

  • Jim Davis Road, both directions with flooding
  • Rye Road and North Rye Road between State Road 64 and Golf Course Road, both directions with flooding and potential lake flooding

  • State Road 64 between Dam Road and County Road 675, both directions with flooding

Rubonia

  • 71st Street East, both directions with flooding

Other

  • Skyway Bridge, all lanes/directions for high winds
  • Taylor Grade Road near Duette, both directions with flooding
