Skyway Bridge reopens after Hurricane Debby drenches Manatee County with rain

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge reopened after Hurricane Debby brought strong winds and record rainfall to the Manatee County area, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers shut down the bridge Sunday night due to the severe inclement weather. The bridge reopened to traffic as Monday night around 9:15 p.m.

The bridge connects Manatee and Pinellas counties.
