A professional UFC fighter carried out a home invasion at his ex-girlfriend’s house, where he’s accused of ripping a necklace off her and throwing her across the room, Florida authorities said.

Sedriques Dumas, a middleweight kickboxer in the Ultimate Fighting Championship league, was later found hiding in a dog crate and arrested April 28, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and ESPN.

Dumas, 29, is charged with home invasion robbery without a firearm or weapon, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance and drug equipment possession, records show.

McClatchy News reached out to Dumas’ attorney for comment May 2 but did not immediately receive a response.

Dumas, who shares a child with his ex-girlfriend, showed up at her Pensacola home and let himself in without permission, then walked through to the back porch where the woman was sitting, deputies wrote in an arrest affidavit.

The woman recalled that Dumas flung the back door open and snatched her phone out of her hand as she was on a call with her boyfriend, according to investigators.

They walked back inside and began arguing as she said he was going to jail, then he’s accused of grabbing her and saying he wanted his ring back, but failed to pull it off her finger, deputies said.

“Dumas then threw her around the room and into a large wooden vase that was in the living room before grabbing a $400 necklace set with turtles on it off her neck,” according to the affidavit.

The woman told deputies Dumas then drove off with her phone and necklace before coming back a minute later to throw her phone on the front lawn.

Deputies said the woman had scratches and bruises on her fingers, an arm and a leg.

Investigators went looking for Dumas until they found his car parked outside a home, then his girlfriend let them in and gave them permission to search the property, according to the report.

Deputies said they found him in a shed in the backyard, hiding in a dog crate.

He told investigators his ex’s mom gave him permission to go to the home to get some of his things, so he walked inside when he found the door unlocked, the report says. He said the woman gave him the necklace, but they began to scuffle when he asked for her ring, and she threw a vase at him, according to deputies.

He was arrested and booked in jail in the Panhandle.
