Man attacks bus driver, then is shot dead by another rider, Texas cops say

A man attacked a public bus driver, then was shot and killed by another passenger, Texas police told news outlets.

The shooting happened at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, on Houston’s northwest side, police said in a post on X.

According to METRO officials, a man got into an argument with a bus driver and assaulted him, then got off, KTRK reported.

A woman who was on the bus but not involved in the altercation followed the man and gunned him down, police told KHOU.

The man was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, the outlet reported.

Police are searching for the woman, KPRC reported.

The bus driver was mildly injured from the assault and was given the rest of the day off, officials told the station.
