Wendy’s debuts two new menu items — but not for long. When can you get them?
Wendy’s is expanding its menu with two new items, but they won’t stick around.
The Cajun crunch chicken sandwich and tangerine twist lemonade are the latest additions to the spring menu, now available at participating locations for a limited time, the burger chain said April 21.
The sandwich comes with a spicy chicken filet topped with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions, pickles, lettuce and a spicy mustard sauce, according to a product description. It’s then served on a premium bun.
Wendy’s is best known for its square burgers but said it’s also focused on “expanding our chicken offerings to provide a modern, craveable options for our customers,” executives revealed at a recent Investor Day event.
The Cajun crunch chicken sandwich will join similar mainstays on the menu including the classic chicken sandwich and Asiago ranch classic chicken club.
To wash it all down, customers can try the new tangerine twist lemonade.
The drink “combines the citrus notes of tangy tangerine with sweet strawberry and orange,” according to Wendy’s website.
Other craft lemonade flavors include:
- All-natural lemonade
- Strawberry lemonade
- Pineapple mango lemonade
The Cajun crunch chicken sandwich and tangerine twist lemonade are available for a limited time, though Wendy’s didn’t say for how long.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
