A 62-year-old woman vanished 7 months ago from Washington. Now, FBI asks for tips
A 62-year-old has been missing for seven months from Washington after never showing up to work, officials said.
Now, the FBI is asking the public for help.
Cristina Ase was reported missing by her family March 26, the FBI Seattle said in a missing person flyer shared Oct. 18.
She was last seen that day at about 6:30 a.m., the FBI said.
Ase never showed up to work in West Linn, Oregon, so worried colleagues also reported her missing that day, the FBI said.
Her vehicle was found the next day in Vancouver.
A police search warrant of her phone records was obtained by KATU.
The records show her leaving her home at 6:34 a.m. and going south on Interstate 205 to Portland, the news outlet reported.
She exited at Southeast Foster Road and spent three hours in a Portland neighborhood north of Glendwood Park before the phone shut off at 10 a.m., last pinging at the intersection of Southeast Flavel Street and 92nd Avenue, the outlet reported.
“Law enforcement believes her disappearance is suspicious and far from her normal routine,” the FBI said in the flyer.
Ase lived in Vancouver but was born in Argentina. She had ties to Sacramento, San Francisco and Portland.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Ase to contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
