71-year-old kills neighbor in shootout over loud animals, Texas cops say

Two neighbors pulled out guns in a heated late-night argument over loud dogs, Texas police told media outlets.

A 71-year-old man fatally shot a 33-year-old in the deadly exchange, according to police.

Witnesses told police the two men were talking in the San Antonio neighborhood before gunshots rang out.

The 33-year-old man was found lying in the street when police arrived on Sept. 7, and the 71-year-old man had a gunshot wound in his buttocks, officials said.

The man killed was identified as Cody Guerrero by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, KSAT reported.

The 71-year-old neighbor was taken to the hospital for his injuries, police said.

There have been no arrests in the case, police said.
