Owner killed and froze 19 puppies to feed to snakes, OR cops say. Now she’s indicted

A pet owner was accused of killing and freezing 19 puppies with plans to feed them to her snakes, Oregon officials said.

Now, the woman, identified as Kathryn Sullivan, has been indicted, according to a Aug. 1 Facebook post by Columbia County deputies.

In March, deputies went to a Goble home after receiving a tip, McClatchy News reported.

When they arrived, they found 18 dead and frozen puppies, officials said.

It was later determined that 19 dead and frozen newborn puppies were found at the home along with one prohibited snake and two restricted snakes, officers said.

After sending the puppies to the Oregon Humane Forensic Investigations Unit in Portland for a necropsy examination, it was determined that they’d been “suffocated and frozen to death,” officials said.

Sullivan was indicted on 38 counts of aggravated animal abuse, officials said.

Columbia County is about a 40-mile drive northwest of Portland.
