Woman with walker dies after being hit by garbage truck in Bradenton parking lot, FHP says
UPDATE: On Monday, Jan. 23, FHP reported the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A Bradenton woman is in critical condition after being hit by a garbage truck on Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a press release on Wednesday.
The 71-year-old woman, who uses a walker, was walking through the parking lot of the condominiums at 3589 Lake Bayshore Drive.
In the parking lot, a garbage truck driven by a 58-year-old man from Bradenton slammed into the woman’s walker, causing her to fall on the pavement, the release said.
The woman was taken to the hospital.
The crash is still being investigated.
