Bicyclist dies after being hit on Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton police say
All lanes of traffic have reopened on Manatee Avenue West after a vehicle hit and killed a bicyclist Friday afternoon.

As of Friday evening, police were still working to confirm the victim’s name and age.
Street cameras captured the traffic backup along Manatee Avenue West. Police advised drivers to avoid the area while the lane closures remain in place.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with police, according to a police spokesperson.
