Detectives link 3 burglaries in Bradenton to juvenile suspects after their arrest

BRADENTON -- Police have connected three burglaries that happened in the same area of Bradenton on Tuesday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Two juvenile suspects were arrested after they fled from the scene of the third home that was burglarized. Detectives were later able to link all three break-ins.

"This is an excellent example of a concerned citizen doing the right thing and assisting the Bradenton Police Department with the capture of two burglary suspects," Lt. James Racky wrote in the release.

At 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a residential burglary alarm in the 2300 block of 31st Street West in Bradenton, according to a police report. When officers got their, they found the home had been burglarized. At 9:27 a.m., a homeowner came home from walking her dog and found two people in her garage in the 3000 block Taunton Drive W., according to the report. She confronted them and the burglars ran off. She then discovered there were things missing. And 12:14 p.m., a 911 call was received from who said they saw two people entering their neighbor's home across the street in the 2200 block of 41st Street Court West. The woman reportedly stayed on the phone with the dispatcher until officers arrived at the home. When police officers arrived, the two suspected burglars ran off but were then found by police. The suspects had items from inside the home in their possession and everything else that was taken from the home was found along the path they fled, according to the release.
