Bradenton man arrested after home drug raid. It’s not the first time, police say
Police have arrested a Bradenton man for the second time in months on felony drug charges, according to a social media post by the Bradenton Police Department.
The department says that earlier this week, its Narcotics Unit carried out a search warrant at the home of Brent Bernard Williams, 61. SWAT also assisted with the search.
Narcotics detectives seized 53 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, about $3000 and Williams’ vehicle, according to Bradenton police.
Police arrested Williams on charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of drug equipment, altering/destroying/concealing evidence and maintaining a public nuisance structure for drug activity, according to the department.
Officers conducted a similar search of Williams’ home in August of last year, also resulting in his arrest on multiple felony charges, the department said. During that search, police reported finding cocaine and marijuana, guns and thousands in cash.
Police say Williams has 12 prior felony convictions. Court records show he also served prison or jail time in multiple earlier drug-related cases dating back to the 1980s.
He is being held at the Manatee County Jail without bond.
