Man charged with stabbing estranged girlfriend to death at Bradenton mobile home park

A 25-year-old man has been charged with stabbing his estranged girlfriend to death at a Bradenton mobile home park.

Deputies say Orestes Miguel Figueredo-Ortega stabbed his estranged 21-year-old girlfriend, Delmy Teyul Ba, multiple times about 12:40 p.m. Thursday, at the Sunset Village mobile home park, 3715 14th St. W.

Teyul Ba died from her injuries a short time later.

According to updated information from the sheriff’s office released late Thursday , Figuerodeo-Ortega was arrested in mid-August on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation. A no-contact order was placed on him to stay away from the victim after he was released.

The sheriff’s office did not provide any further details but indicated Figuerodeo-Ortega was arrested by another agency outside of Manatee County.

“He will be extradited to Manatee County at a later date,” the sheriff’s office said.
