Bradenton teenager was shot to death. A 28-year-old man is charged with murder

A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder following the shooting of two Bradenton teens last Saturday, according to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the teens, 16-year-old Luis Rublero, died, and a 15-year-old boy required hospital care after he was shot in the arm.

Troy Davis Sr. was arrested without incident and booked into the Manatee County Jail on Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office.

In addition to second-degree murder, Davis is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and other charges are pending.

The shooting occurred late Saturday night at a residence in the 5900 block of 13th Street Court East in Bradenton. Deputies responded just before 10 p.m. and found the two teens with gunshot wounds. Rublero died at the scene.

The teens had been arguing with an unknown man when he opened fire on them and then fled the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information can contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
