Video shows vehicle of interest in 'execution' of construction worker, sheriff says

Investigators are looking for two people and a black four-door sedan in connection with a construction worker's "targeted execution" Wednesday afternoon.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office released video Thursday morning of what investigators are calling a vehicle of interest in the case, a black four-door sedan. The make and model of the vehicle are not known.

Deputies believe two suspects, described as very thin men standing between 5-feet 3-inches and 5-feet 8-inches tall possibly with short dreadlocks, took off in the black car.

Sheriff Chris Nocco said in a news conference Wednesday that Heans Gianni Alvarez, 46, was shot dead in a "targeted execution" while working at a Wesley Chapel home construction site on Marsciano Lane.

Alvarez and other workers were on a break around noon. Shortly after, two men reportedly approached the garage, tapped Alvarez on the leg and then fatally shot him, Spectrum Bay News 9 reported.

Deputies said there is no threat to the public as the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. Nocco said it appears the shooters knew Alvarez and there were no signs of a robbery.

Gerardo Jimenez, Alvarez's nephew, told ABC Action News his uncle has been laying tile for 15 years and is a "very peaceful person, a special person, very caring to anyone who knows him."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS.
