Bradenton mom who had sex with teens at party registers as sex offender in Sarasota
A woman who had sex with teenagers at her child’s party is out of jail and living in Sarasota.
Jamie Ayer, 41, was arrested after a Dec. 23, 2016, incident in her home where authorities say she had sex with more than one teenaged boy.
On Oct. 18, 2016, Ayer pleaded no contest to seven counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor ages 16 or 17 and was adjudicated guilty by Circuit Court Judge Brian Iten. She was designated as a sex offender, sentenced to a day shy of one year in county jail with credit for all of her time served and one year community control to be followed by 36 months of sex offender probation. She was instructed to have no contact with any minors other than her children.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that Ayer has registered as a sex offender with an address in Sarasota. Ayer lived in the 7600 block of 52nd Terrace East in Bradenton at the time of the incident.
Several students from Braden River High School and one from Sarasota High School were at a classmate’s home on Dec. 23, 2016, when the classmate’s mother, Ayer, got home. According to the probable cause affidavit, Ayer gave the students alcohol and pulled two of them toward her room and one other student followed and all engaged in sexual activities with Ayer.
Police interviewed eight students who were in the home that night and all of their statements were consistent, according to the affidavit.
Eventually, Ayer told police she was involved in a sex act with one of the students but because of the alcohol, did not remember doing anything else with the other three boys.
