A 2015 white GMC Terrain suspected in a hit and run earlier this month was found and seized by Sarasota police.

The Sarasota Police Department found the SUV suspected in a hit-and-run crash from earlier this month.

At about 4:50 a.m. May 7, a white GMC Terrain was driving north on South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota and turned west onto Bay Road into the path of another vehicle. The GMC fled the scene and the driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, Sarasota police released surveillance video showing the wanted white GMC Terrain. Someone who saw the video on the Sarasota Police Department Facebook page called in a tip, which helped police find the 2015 white GMC Terrain.

Police seized the GMC Terrain that had damage on the passenger-side rear-door area consistent with the crash, according to police.

Police are still investigating.
