Member of street gang Team No Sleep arrested again, facing additional drug charges
A member of the street gang Team No Sleep who was already facing several drug charges including armed trafficking of heroin has been arrested again and is now facing additional drug charges.
Tarvin Martin, 22, already was facing charges of armed trafficking of heroin, armed trafficking of cocaine, carrying a concealed firearm, possession with intent to distribute oxycodone and alprazolam and possession of marijuana. He and 14 others were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation that began in January 2015.

At 9 a.m. Friday morning, Martin was arrested again in the 5400 block of Bentgrass Drive in Sarasota and charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of rock cocaine with intent to sell and carrying a concealed firearm.
“Martin was in hiding for several months and investigators tracked him down in Sarasota,” Sgt. Evelio Perez wrote in a news release. “After a short foot pursuit, he was apprehended.”
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division was able to apprehend Martin with help of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
