Sheriff’s office still searching for murder suspect

Two weeks after the Oct. 2 murder of Alexander Anderson, who was shot and left to die on the side of First Avenue East in Palmetto, Manatee detectives are still searching for the suspect.

According to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office press release, detectives got a warrant for the arrest of Da’Quan Lavonte Gaskin.

The 18-year-old is five-foot 10-inches, thin, has short hair and a nose piercing. The sheriff’s office, who believes Gaskin is still in the area, asks that anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the sheriff’s office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-8477.
