A coffee shop, burger restaurant, nail salon and more are coming to a new shopping center in Palmetto.

The Shops at Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa, located at 650 U.S. Highway 41 N., will feature five tenants in a roughly 8,200-square-foot space next to the hotel.

Four of the five planned tenants include: Foxtail Coffee Co., Burger Monger, Noire Nail Bar and White Diamond Shipping.

The project recently broke ground and is projected to open in December, according to a Marriott Resort & Spa spokesperson.

“This project represents the next phase in our vision to create a true destination along Florida’s West Coast,” Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa Managing Director Anthony DeRusso said in a news release. “By blending hospitality, dining and everyday lifestyle conveniences, we are enhancing not only the guest experience at the resort, but also contributing to the growth and energy of Palmetto’s urban core.”

Foxtail Coffee’s inclusion marks its third shop for the area. The company founded in the Orlando suburb of Winter Park has locations in Parrish’s Marketwalk at North River Ranch plaza and at the University Town Center.

In addition to coffee, most Foxtail locations have a Kelly’s Ice Cream counter inside its shops.

Burger Monger is making its debut south of the Skyway Bridge. There are three Tampa Bay area locations for the restaurant. They are in St. Petersburg, Safety Harbor and Wesley Chapel.

Burger Monger’s menu has various burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken strips, wings, salads, fries and shakes.

The Shops at Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa are the first phase of the project. A second phase is planned to include four additional buildings bordering a retail event space, according to planning documents from commercial realtor LQ Commercial.

That retail event space, called “The Yard,” will face an amphitheater with stage that can accommodate 5,500 people, the Bradenton Herald previously reported.

A second phase construction timeline was not announced.

“This project reflects the continued momentum we are seeing in Palmetto,” Palmetto Mayor Dan West said in a news release. “It brings new opportunities for small businesses, enhances our local economy and further establishes our city as a destination along the Gulf Coast.”
