Manatee County mansion with ‘lagoon pool’ on sale for $22 million. Look inside
A luxury Manatee County waterfront home is for sale for $22 million.
Named the “House of Columns,” the nearly 6,900-square-foot mansion at 6610 Gulf of Mexico Drive sits on roughly 4.5 acres on Longboat Key’s north end along Sarasota Bay.
Award-winning architect Carl Abbott, who is part of the Sarasota School of Architecture movement and received a University of Florida lifetime architecture award, built the estate, which has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and three half-bathrooms, in 2007.
Some of the amenities include a lagoon-style pool, a private dock for two boats, 21-foot ceilings, an elevator, automated shades for each window and door, an air-conditioned four-car garage and a whole-home generator.
The mansion is a two-story single-family home that “unfolds like a private peninsula, offering exceptional width, depth and privacy,” the listing said.
Sotheby’s International Realty’s Katy McBrayer and Montana Taplinger are the listing agents.
Other luxurious Manatee mansions
It’s the latest luxurious mansion to be listed for sale in the area.
In August 2025, a 19,300-square-foot mansion named Serenissima, which means “The Most Serene,” in reference to when Venice, Italy was an independent republic, sold for $30.3 million.
That was a record for Florida’s west coast, excluding Naples.
A waterfront mansion inside the Lido Shores community near Longboat Key and St. Armand’s Circle was listed for sale in September for $26 million.
