Fundraiser started for family of Bradenton teen killed in motorcycle crash
After a Bradenton teenager died in a motorcycle crash on Monday, his family has created a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to pay for funeral expenses.
The 16-year-old boy was riding as a passenger on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 17-year-old, when it collided with a Chevy sedan on State Road 70 near Manatee Technical College, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said he died at the scene.

The GoFundMe campaign was created by Bradenton resident Joan Nunno, who identified herself as the teen’s sister.
Nunno said she started the donation campaign to support Joseph’s funeral expenses and to “give him the farewell he deserves.”
“He was a very caring and full of life person who did what he loved—riding bikes,” the GoFundMe says.
“He was the best little brother I could have asked for, and his loss leaves a huge hole in our hearts,” Nunno also wrote.
As of Wednesday morning, the GoFundMe has raised almost $2,500 of its $5,000 goal.
The crash is being investigated by the FHP’s Traffic Homicide Unit, according to the release.
