A new commercial development in Parrish is moving forward with a grocery store, big box retail shops, restaurants and a gas station.

Recently, Manatee County Development Services assigned a case manager for the Parrish Town Center project located at the southeastern corner of U.S. 301 and State Road 62.

According to building records, the project at 12323 State Road 62 encompasses nearly 48 acres of land with a maximum of 174,000 square feet devoted to commercial use.

Of the 13 planned building spaces, four have pending leases, according to the plaza’s commercial realtor LQ Commercial Real Estate Services.

None of the potential restaurants or stores have been announced yet.

The pending leases are for a nearly 48,000-square-foot grocery store anchoring the plaza, a 44,000-square-foot retail store, a 40,000-square-foot retail store, a quick-service restaurant and a gas station with a convenience store.

Both retail stores flank the grocery store in the middle of the plaza, according to planning documents.

On the outer rim of the plaza bordering State Road 62, also known as County Road 62 and Wauchula Road, are planned buildings for a bank, retail shop, two auto stores and a dental office.

According to records, the corner of State Road 62 and U.S. 301 has a planned restaurant, while the stretch of buildings bordering U.S. 301 in the plaza shows a planned coffee shop, two quick-service restaurants and the gas station with the convenience store.

Access to the future plaza would come from U.S. 301, with a dedicated right-of-way road expansion and part of the entrance to Crosswind Point, a neighborhood adjacent to the Parrish Town Center land, according to records.

A stormwater retention pond is planned as a buffer between the back of the grocery store, two large retailers and the Crosswind Point homes, according to records.

A construction timeline for Parrish Town Center has not been publicly announced.
