What’s open and closed around Bradenton on Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

Whether you have to make a last-minute grocery run on Thanksgiving Day, or you’re planning some Black Friday shopping , it’s helpful to know what stores are open and when this holiday season.

Here’s a list of Black Friday hours for popular stores in Bradenton and Manatee County, plus closures for businesses recognizing Thanksgiving Day.

Grocery store Thanksgiving closures, hours

• Acapulco Tropical y Mas: Open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. 3410 U.S. 301, Ellenton.
• Aldi: Closed.
• Detwiler’s Farm Market: Closed.
• Family Dollar: Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
• The Fresh Market: Open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Locations: 6701 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton and 5251 University Parkway, University Park.
• Publix: Closed.
• Target: Closed.
• Trader Joe’s: Closed.
• Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood Markets: Closed.
• Winn-Dixie: Closed.
• Whole Foods: Open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. 5298 University Parkway, Sarasota.

Black Friday shopping

• Target is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
• Walmart Supercenters are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Kohl’s is open from 5 a.m. to midnight.
• Best Buy is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Home Depot hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Lowe’s Black Friday business hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Costco is open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Sam’s Club is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Black Friday mall hours

• Ellenton Premium Outlets is extending its hours for Black Friday, opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m., but it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
• The Mall at University Town Center is also closed on Thanksgiving, but will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday.

Other Manatee County Thanksgiving closures

Thursday is a federal, state and county government holiday. Here’s what will be closed:

• The post office will be closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, and mail will not be delivered. Regular business hours will resume on Friday.
• Manatee County Government, City of Bradenton and City of Palmetto offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Manatee County courts will be closed on Thanksgiving Day as well.
• Public schools remain on Thanksgiving break this week, and classes will resume Monday, Dec. 1.
• Manatee County Library locations will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and resume operations at 9 a.m. Saturday.
• Most banks, including Bank of America financial centers and MIDFLORIDA credit unions, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
• The G.T. Bray Recreation Center will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
• Aquatic centers at the G.T. Bray and Lincoln parks are closed on Thanksgiving Day.
